One of the largest land snails in the world, with their shells growing upto 20cm in length!. They are found in damp areas of Africa.

They have tiny hairs on their feet to help them stick to surfaces. First discovered in New Caledonia in 1866, but were not seen and believed to be extinct until 1994.

Would be found in rocky arid grasslands and desert areas of Afghanistan, northern western India, Pakistan and Iran. They store fat in their tails to help them through months of hiding.

Lesser Tenrec

Closest relative to moles or shrews but is found in a group called afrotheria, that also contains elephants!

Despite appearance they are closer related to elephants than they are to hedgehogs.
